With the surface cleared, the living dermis is now accessible. Sodium hyaluronate and glycerin reach the living cells where real change can happen. Hydrated, nourished skin responds more efficiently to the rebuild signal that comes in Phase 3. Dry, depleted skin does not renew as well.

At 12% concentration, glycolic acid reaches the fibroblast cells in the dermis and signals them to produce new collagen, while the restored turnover cycle keeps carrying old compacted cells off the surface before they can build back up. Crepey texture typically builds back gradually over 8 to 12 weeks as collagen production increases and the shedding cycle restores itself.
